About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend systems. The role involves building and integrating APIs, working with databases and external services, and ensuring solutions are secure, reliable, and maintainable. This position is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong background in Java, cloud platforms, and modern backend engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 18+ and Spring Boot.
  
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
  
• Work with relational or NoSQL databases to design and optimize data storage solutions.
  
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
  
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  
• Work in Unix environments for development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  
• Write and maintain automated tests using JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, and JBehave.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, robust, and maintainable solutions.
  
• Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with banking industry standards.
  

Must-Have Skills

• Proficiency in Java 18+ and Spring Boot.
  
• Strong experience in RESTful API development with Open API/Swagger.
  
• Hands-on experience with any database (SQL or NoSQL).
  
• Proven skills in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  
• Proficiency in Unix.
  
• Experience with JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, JBehave.
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Messaging & Integration: Kafka, REST.
  
• AI & Advanced Architectures: Azure OpenAI, RAG-based Architecture, AI Agents, Agentic AI, Spring Integration.
  
• Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Splunk.
  
• Security & Authentication: OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  
• Experience in banking domain projects is mandatory.
  
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and self-discipline to complete critical tasks with urgency.
