Senior Java Developer

Overview

Your mission, roles and requirements:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with a strong background in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and enterprise-grade backend development. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Java frameworks, design principles, and modern DevOps practices, and be capable of designing and delivering scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions. 

More specifically, you will responsible for:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Apply object-oriented design principles (SOLID) and design patterns to ensure scalable and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver robust software solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, manage database schemas using JPA/Hibernate, and ensure efficient data access layers.
• Implement unit testing and integration testing using frameworks like JUnit and Mockito to maintain code quality.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI) to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications using Docker and Kubernetes in cloud or containerized environments.
• Integrate with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, SNS) and build event-driven architectures using Kafka/SQS.
• Collaborate in the implementation of observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for application health and performance tracking.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and ensure adherence to best development practices.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Java (J2EE) development with expertise in Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and server-side development.
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle/MySQL), JPA/Hibernate, and database performance tuning.
• Experience in writing unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab CI).
• Working knowledge of AWS services including Lambda and SQS.
• Experience with message-driven or event-driven systems (Kafka/SQS).
• Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
