Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure to support data platforms and applications.
• Maintain Databricks workspaces, clusters, and related resources.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated, repeatable deployments.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to optimize cloud resource usage and performance.
• Implement security best practices, including IAM policies, network configurations, and data protection.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Establish continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring robust automation practices using Github Actions.
• Assist security assessments and implement best practices within the cloud environment to safeguard sensitive data and applications.
• Monitor cloud resources for performance and security vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents as they arise.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, security policies, and operational procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies, security trends, and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing processes.
• Provide technical guidance and support regarding cloud solutions and security to team members and stakeholders.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role with a focus on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks platform (workspace setup, cluster management, job scheduling).
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Solid understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, RDS, and networking.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications
• AWS certifications (Preferred AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with other Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with big data technologies and data lake architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
• Understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.
