Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Architect with a minimum of 14 years of expertise in network operations, enterprise infrastructure, and cloud integration. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge in routing, switching, security, and hybrid cloud environments, with hands-on experience in AWS cloud modernization and data center re-architecture.

This is a remote opportunity for the first 3 to 6 months, with potential for extended engagement based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert-level operational support for enterprise-scale network environments

Design and manage Layer 2/3 switching and advanced routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS

Re-architect data center environments to integrate with AWS Cloud and support hybrid cloud infrastructure

Implement and maintain network security architecture, including firewalls, load balancers, DMZs, VLANs, and zoning

Ensure proper segmentation and protection of internal networks from external internet traffic

Support developers in solving configuration and environment issues related to the network

Drive automation initiatives across cloud network infrastructure

Mentor and train internal technical teams on network best practices

Work with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and other DevOps tools

Oversee security technologies such as SIEM, Firewalls, DLP, and hybrid cloud security solutions

Must-Have Skills

14+ years of network operational support experience, with at least 7+ years in large enterprise or carrier-grade environments

In-depth knowledge of routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS)

Solid understanding of the OSI model, IPv4/IPv6, and network troubleshooting

Extensive experience with cloud and hybrid cloud architectures (preferably AWS)

Strong knowledge in network security, including firewall management and VLAN segmentation

Exposure to data center design and modernization

Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitLab CI/CD, automation scripting)

Proficient in Linux environments

Excellent communication and mentoring skills

Relevant industry certifications in routing, switching, and security are highly desirable

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, etc.) preferred
