Senior Network Engineer

ISS STOXX is growing! We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Mumbai, India.

Overview

• The Senior Network Engineer will help lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive network and telecommunications services strategy for the firm. Will provide energetic, creative and imaginative leadership of the network engineering services program.
• Evaluate, design, and maintain comprehensive, integrated, reliable, high-quality network services for the firm in areas such as backbone and local area networking, network facilities and infrastructure, Internet access for all regional offices, high-performance networking, network security, remote access for internal users, and telecommunications.
• Work with complex network and storage environments including SAN, clustering, load balancing, multi-site VPNs, IPS, and firewalls.
• Analyze network characteristics (e.g., latency, transmission speeds, packet loss and throughput), triage and troubleshoot problems.
• Monitor network performance and provide security measures, troubleshooting, and maintenance, as needed.
• Acquire, maintain, and report on data related to network performance management, capacity planning and utilization trend analysis.
• Collaborate with other functional IT areas to ensure that IT best practices, policies, and procedures are adhered to. Provide technical support for staff issues.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
  
  

Responsibilities

• 7+ years of designing and implementing a highly reliable, global, and comprehensive network architecture.
• Experience in setup, configuration, and maintenance of networking infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN technologies, SD-WAN, and other WAN administration.
• Strong knowledge of IP Network Management and protocols: IPv4 and IPv6, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, QoS and Security.
• Manage and optimize Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Fortinet SD-WAN, and FortiNAC environments.
• Experience in Software Defined Networking SD-WAN, SDN Automation.
• Hands-on experience setting up networks and all related supporting infrastructure (routers, firewalls, switches, load balancers, wireless etc)
• Deep understanding of network technologies and provisioning
• Experience with 3rd party monitoring tools and analyzers.
• Collaborate with Application Management, cloud, and application teams on cross-functional projects.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and automation scripts.
• Knowledge of TCP/UDP protocols/services is required, including deep analysis of network packet captures using Wireshark and TCPdump.
• Experience in troubleshooting and performance management of Datacenter Infrastructure Network.
• Dive deep into the high severity incidents, recommend preventive solutions and participate in root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of AWS/GCP is a plus.
• Certifications in Cisco and other networking technologies are a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both in technical and non-technical terms
• Ability and willingness for on-call and after-hours work
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Expert-level knowledge of:
• Fortinet SD-WAN and FortiNAC
• Cisco switching (Layer 2/3)
• Zscaler ZIA/ZPA
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust, segmentation, and secure access.
• Experience with automation (Python, Ansible) and monitoring tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., NSE 7, CCNP/CCIE, Zscaler Certified Architect) preferred.
