Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage network security operations, including monitoring logs, analyzing alerts, and identifying potential threats.
- Plan, implement, and maintain advanced network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Design and execute penetration testing exercises to identify and remediate vulnerabilities before they are discovered by attackers.
- Conduct thorough security assessments and gap analyses, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures, leading investigations and coordinating remediation efforts.
- Analyze threat intelligence data, identifying emerging threats and proactively updating security controls.
- Mentor and coach junior security analysts, sharing your knowledge and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, network operations, and security management, to ensure alignment with overall security objectives.
- Proactively communicate security risks and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a network security role, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of network security concepts, technologies, and methodologies.
- Extensive experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- Proven ability to conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Experience with incident response planning, investigation, and remediation.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence sources and analysis techniques.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation purposes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Network security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CCNP Security) are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud security platforms is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential.
