Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer with a strong background in Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in backend development, API integration, and database optimization. If you are passionate about building scalable web applications and writing clean, maintainable code — we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend functionality using PHP, Laravel, and CodeIgniter.
• Design and optimize MySQL databases with efficient queries and proper indexing.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services into applications.
• Follow best practices in version control using Git.
• Implement caching, queue systems, and scheduled jobs (e.g., Laravel Queues).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for mobile and web applications.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members for system integration.
• Perform unit testing and use debugging tools to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Participate in code reviews, and provide mentorship to junior developers.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of professional experience in PHP backend development.
• Strong expertise in Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks.
• Proficient in MySQL – with hands-on experience in query optimization and database design.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs (payment gateways, SMS/email services, etc.).
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms, job queues, and scheduling (e.g., Redis, Laravel Horizon).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON formats.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and debugging tools.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a hybrid or agile development environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker.
