We are seeking an experienced Principal Data Scientist to design and implement our AI/ML, Gen AI and agentic AI initiatives, with a focus on fine tuning, building models and pipelines, evaluation, and MLOps/LLMOps. The role involves building predictive and prescriptive AI models, domain-specific AI models for full construction lifecycle with AI governance, security, and responsible AI. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, leading our AI transformation initiatives across the organization. • A thorough awareness of and ability to use AI governance frameworks (such as the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF) and sophisticated bias reduction strategies in AI products and solutions.
• To facilitate intelligent information retrieval and context-aware reasoning, incorporate AI search capabilities such as vector databases, semantic search, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Create reliable APIs and interfaces for monitoring, deploying agents, and integrating them with business processes.
• Building predictive and prescriptive AI/ML models and domain-specific AI models for full construction lifecycle
• To guarantee safety, dependability, and compliance, put in place guardrails, human-in-the-loop procedures, and validation.
• Keep up with developments in AI search technologies, autonomous agents, and generative AI.
• Push proofs of concept to production-grade systems handling performance metrics, latency, and scale.
• For contextual, real-time responses, integrate the agents with data sources, enterprise systems, and APIs.
• To increase agent capabilities, implement unique processes, triggers, and connectors.

Key Competencies and Requirements:

Technical Expertise:

• Overall 15+ years of experience with B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Information and Communication Technologies
• 10+ years of software development experience
• 10+ years of progressive experience in AI/ML, with a strong track record as a data scientist, ML engineer or AI/ML architect
• 2+ years specifically focused on designing and implementing Gen AI solutions
• Experience of building autonomous/agentic AI systems (e.g., multi-agent frameworks, self-optimizing systems, or LLM-driven decision engines).
• Proficiency in data modelling, entity relationship diagrams, and schema design
• Extensive hands-on experience with autonomous AI tools and frameworks: LangChain, Autogen, CrewAI, or architecting custom agentic frameworks.
• Strong expertise with LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral)
• Experience in Prompt engineering, RAG, Parameter Efficient Fine Tuning (PEFT), Reinfocement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) to improve the LLM responses including guardrails, evaluation and LLM observability to reduce hallucinations.
• Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Transformers, Computer Vision and knowledge graphs
• Proficiency in cloud platforms for AI architecture: AWS Bedrock, AWS SageMaker with a deep understanding of their AI service offerings.
• Demonstrable experience with LLMOps/MLOps
• Deep understanding of planning algorithms, decision-making models, and agentic architecture.
• Exposure to build small language models, multi modal models, and fine tuning of LLMs.
• Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other relevant AI/ML libraries.

• Ability to collaborate with engineers and product teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable AI solutions.
• Ability to envision and articulate a long-term strategy for AI within the business, aligning AI initiatives with business objectives and market trends.
• Foster collaboration across various practices, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to ensure cohesive implementation of AI strategies that meet business goals.
