Job Description
Senior Automation Engineer, Chennai
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer role in the field of Quality Assurance QA Automation Engineer at NIQ Activate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and quality of our software solutions. You will b e responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to identify issues and ensure the highest quality of our products. Your work will help us deliver bug-free software to our clients and maintain the reliability of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure
- comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute and analyze automated test results, reporting defects and working with developers to resolve issues.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Report and document software defects
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testing best practices
- Continuously research and implement automation testing best practices
- Ensure the stability and reliability of our testing infrastructure.
- Continuously improve and optimize the automation framework and testing processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Senior QA Automation engineer 5-7 years of experience
- Proven experience in test automation using Cypress
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Solid understanding of infrastructure testing environments and tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
- Knowledge of performance and security testing.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience with Single Page Applications (SPA) and React.
