Overview

TRC Companies is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer / Senior Test Engineer with a strong 8-10 years of experience specializing in both manual and automation testing (using Selenium or any similar automation framework), to join our growing team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of modern web technologies and be capable of designing, developing and executing test plans for applications built using REST & GraphQL APIs, React-based front ends, and MongoDB/DocumentDB back ends. Mentors the Junior testers in team.

Responsible for Test Design, Test execution for the existing & upcoming features into the product. Strong communication and technical skills to effectively help other members on the team are a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead End to End Testing of product features.
• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web applications.
• Develop and maintain robust automation test scripts using C# Dotnet, Java or Python with Selenium or other multi-layered test automation frameworks
• Identify and prioritize test cases for automation.
• Implement any third-party tool to generate customize test execution reports.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, Scrum Master and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases as per the Sprint plan.
• Conduct regression, performance, and integration testing.
• Mentor other QA members to drive efficient testing practices.
• Estimate the Testing effort and schedule for features, enhancements and bugs.
• Conduct peer review to ensure the quality of the test cases to improve re-usability, extendibility and maintainability.
• Participate in Test cases reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the product quality and best practices.
• Conduct Defects root cause analysis and improve defect removal efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of overall QA experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium with C# Dotnet/Java/Python.
• Experience in Test Automation Frameworks.
• Experience in TestNG framework for organizing, executing, and managing Selenium tests.
• Experienced in using Jira for end-to-end defect lifecycle management—tracking, prioritization to ensure high product quality.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience with Accessibility Testing is required
• Basic understanding of web technologies, exposure towards AWS, Python, APIs, MongoDB or DocumentDB.
• Proven experience with API automation and validation.
• Familiar with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, adept at communicating with offshore and onshore teams.
• Strong experience with cloud-based applications is a plus.
• High degree of adaptability, capable of shifting focus to meet evolving business and management needs.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent organizational skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the efficiency segment of the energy domain.
• Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Exposure to cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
• Experience working with cross-cultural teams, particularly with US-based entities.
• Proven technical abilities in mentoring high-performing teams.
• Capability to think strategically and integrate broad functional knowledge to address complex challenges effectively.
