Overview
The role
We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer who can own quality across our projects and lead the testing function as we grow. You'll be the person who makes sure what we ship actually works, sets up the processes that keep it that way, and brings the rest of the team along with you. This is a senior, leadership-track role, so we're looking for someone who can think about quality at the product level, not just file bug reports.
What you'll do
Own the QA strategy across multiple client projects and define how we test, what we automate, and where we focus our effort. Build and maintain automated test suites alongside thorough manual testing where it matters. Set up and improve QA processes, from test planning to release sign-off. Work closely with developers, designers, and the founders to catch issues early rather than late. Mentor junior team members and help establish a quality-first culture as the team scales. Take ownership of releases and stand behind the quality of what goes out the door.
Who's a great fit
You have five or more years of QA experience, including time spent leading testing efforts or a small team. You're strong across both manual and automated testing and have hands-on experience with frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. You understand API testing, web and mobile testing, and how to test real products end to end. You've worked in an agency or services environment, or somewhere with multiple concurrent projects, and you know how to juggle competing priorities. You communicate clearly, can talk to both engineers and clients, and you take genuine ownership of quality rather than treating it as someone else's problem.
Who should not apply
This isn't the right role if you have under five years of experience or have only worked as part of someone else's QA process without owning any of it. It's also not a fit if you rely entirely on manual testing and aren't comfortable with automation, or if leading and mentoring others isn't something you want to do. This is a role for someone ready to set the standard, not follow one.
