Senior QA Engineer (SDET)

The Role

As a Senior Automation Engineer (SDET), you will be responsible for:

• Being the quality custodian for the product, taking ownership of UI, API, and server-side automation testing.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation test frameworks using tools like Cypress and Playwright.
• Writing and executing automation scripts, focusing on test coverage, reusability, and efficiency.
• Implementing robust QA strategies for microservices-based architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability through CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhancing and evolving QA processes, converting manual test cases into automated ones, and resolving broken scripts.
• Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in agile scrums to ensure early defect detection and rapid issue resolution.
• Writing complex SQL queries for backend validation and participating in white-box and black-box testing.
• Continuously monitoring and refining testing tools, techniques, and best practices to keep QA modern and effective.
• Actively contributing to maintaining high-quality standards across product releases and driving customer satisfaction.
  
  

Ideal Profile

• You have a degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience specifically in automation testing using Cypress.
• You have hands-on experience with JavaScript-based test automation tools such as Playwright or Protractor.
• You possess strong SQL skills and have previously designed end-to-end test strategies including UI, API, functional, and BDD tests.
• You have worked in cloud-based SaaS product environments and are familiar with testing for microservices and containerized systems.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or K6 and frameworks like Pytest is a plus.
• You bring a solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and agile development processes.
• You demonstrate a proactive approach to quality, with a knack for problem-solving in complex and ambiguous scenarios.
• You are a collaborative team player with excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Prior experience in B2B SaaS or e-commerce products and building automation frameworks from scratch is highly valued.
