We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with very strong React skills who is also comfortable working with legacy code in Java and PHP.

Your mission is to take ownership of our current front-end repo where you will become our frontend specialist. You will be the authority of frontend experience.

You will stabilize and improve it, focusing on rapid bug-squashing, stabilizing, and long-term code reliability. You should be highly motivated, self-sufficient (but highly collaborative), and possess the initiative to take full ownership of tasks. This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can proactively identify and resolve issues. You will also be responsible for

enhancing and improving the overall product experience.

What You Will Be Doing

• React Development: Work extensively with React to develop, maintain, deploy and improve the current front-end codebase and experience. You are the front-end authority.
• Bug Fixing and Troubleshooting: Identify, prioritize, and resolve bugs across the react/php code base, ensuring the stability of the application. You are on top of the front-end bugs.
• Legacy Code Maintenance: Can read, understand, and maintain code written in Java and PHP, focusing on supporting our Go to Market mission. You can pitch in with the backend when required.
• Code Ownership: Take full ownership of 2 repos, ensuring that it is reliable, stable and well-organized. You are the point of contact for front-end.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely the dev team ensuring we can fully support our product, front end and backend with a specialism in front end. You are a highly valued member of the dev team.
• Testing & Quality: Perform comprehensive testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to ensure the product is stable and defects are not introduced. The app is better after every change you make.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to the codebase and architecture to enhance performance, security, and maintainability. You suggest and improve our codebase.
• Docs & Ticket hygiene: Maintain clear, concise documentation for code, workflows, and bug resolutions. Your tickets are well commented, accurate and always up to date. There are zero surprises.
  
  

You Are a Good Match If You Have/are

• React experience: Primary skills should be coding & testing in React, understanding how to build & deploy it safely. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end applications
• Proficiency in Java and PHP: Bonus if you can follow code from user to database and make changes when needed.
