Role Overview
As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend systems. You will be responsible for system architecture, implementing microservices, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our backend infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, DevOps, and product managers, to create seamless and secure systems that scale.
Responsibilities
● Develop, deploy, and manage microservices to ensure modular and scalable architecture.
● Leverage AWS and GCP services for infrastructure scalability and reliability. Manage deployments and monitoring of backend systems.
● Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
● Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, ensuring secure and high-performing endpoints.
● Conduct performance tuning, load testing, and implement caching strategies using CDNs and other tools.
● Implement and support DevOps best practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
● Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
● Work closely with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of learning and growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
● Minimum 4 years of experience in backend development with hands-on expertise in RESTful APIs.
● Proficient in programming languages like Python, Java, Node.js, Ruby, or Go.
● Strong knowledge and experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
● Hands-on experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), ensuring high availability and scalability.
● Familiarity with system design principles and ability to architect complex backend systems.
● Experience with microservices architecture and related technologies.
● Solid understanding of DevOps practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
● Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code.
● Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK stack).
● Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with minimal supervision.
● Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
