POSITION SUMMARY

Zoetis is one of the largest manufacturers of Animal Health products and providers across the full continuum of care. Zoetis is seeking an experienced Lead Developer to own the technical design and development of our LMS-based web application. This role requires deep expertise in C#, .NET Core/ASP.NET, Azure services (including Azure SQL DB, App Services, and Blob Storage), and modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Angular). The ideal candidate will lead a development team in a fast-paced, agile environment, while remaining hands-on with solution architecture, coding, and cross-system integrations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Percent of Time

• Lead the end-to-end technical development of the Learning Management System (LMS) platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. - 20%
• Architect and maintain scalable backend services using C# and .NET Core, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability. - 20%
• Design, develop, and manage responsive front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React. - 15%
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement seamless integrations with third-party systems and APIs. - 10%
• Design, implement, and optimize Azure SQL databases to ensure data integrity, scalability, and optimal query performance. - 10%
• Establish and enforce development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and automated testing, while maintaining a robust CI/CD pipeline. - 10%
• Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a collaborative team environment through code reviews, pair programming, and continuous knowledge sharing. - 10%
• Monitor and ensure platform reliability and performance, proactively addressing issues related to uptime, latency, and scalability. - 5%
• Drive continuous improvement of the user experience for end users accessing web applications, focusing on usability, accessibility, and performance. N/A

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience with web application development, specifically using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET.
• At least 2 years of experience in front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in fast-paced, agile development environments, with a proven ability to manage priorities and drive results.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Exposure to or understanding of eLearning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI) for content tracking, delivery, and interoperability is considered a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Proficient in C# and .NET Core/ASP.NET, with hands-on experience building robust, scalable applications.
• Strong working knowledge of the Azure ecosystem, including Azure SQL Database, App Services, and Blob Storage.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable, secure web architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and DevOps workflows. (Nice to have)
• Practical experience with frontend technologies and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue), including responsive UI development and API integration.
• Understanding of database design, optimization, and performance tuning in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in a fast-paced Scrum environment
• Experience with work management tools like Jira, ServiceNow is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to lead a team as a Dev: Lead. (mentoring, code review etc.)

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Flexibility to work times with at least 4 hr. overlap with US EST Time zone.
