Overview
Job DescriptionAs a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture. Writes correct, maintainable code and care about the quality, performance, and security of the product. Suggests and incorporates industry best practices. Collaborates to understand requirement, designs and task breakdown.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience.
- 6+ years of experience in Java, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, API Integration, Microservices, Web Services, Docker/Kubernetes, Oracle, SQL, Angular JS, JavaScript, OCI etc.
- Strong software engineering background with deep Java expertise.
- Prior experience in designing, building, deploying cloud services and REST APIs.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and coding standards.
- Solid understanding of system design and distributed computing principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A self-motivated problem solver with a collaborative spirit and willingness to learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with Ruby On Rails is preferred, but not required.
- Generative AI, LLM, Machine learning experience.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications and systems, providing robust and scalable full stack cloud native applications.
- Drive high standards in coding, testing, and quality assurance.
- Lead technical design and architecture discussions, making informed decisions on technologies and methodologies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX designers and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, best practices, and adherence to standards.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure modern and effective solutions.
- Ensure security, compliance, and performance requirements are considered in all solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
