The Senior Application Support Engineer is responsible for providing high-level technical support for enterprise applications. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, ensuring system stability, and collaborating with various teams to enhance application performance. The engineer will act as a subject matter expert, guiding junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced technical support for enterprise applications, resolving complex issues and ensuring minimal downtime
• Monitor application performance, identify potential problems, and implement solutions proactively
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
• Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
• Maintain and update documentation, including user guides, release notes, and standard operating procedures
• Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Mentor and train junior support engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical applications
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in application support or a related role
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, New Relic) and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK stack)
• Solid knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Proven excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Proven solid communication and interpersonal skills
