Senior Software Engineer - Murex

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team and support a Summit-to-Murex transition project.

This role focuses on back-office operations, treasury accounting, validations, and testing, driving impactful results as part of a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in configuring and maintaining Murex workflows to support back-office operations and treasury accounting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition from Summit to Murex, including data migration and system integration
• Troubleshoot and validate Murex modules to ensure accuracy and alignment with business requirements
• Analyze financial instruments and processes such as cash and securities settlements, collateral, cash management, and accounting for bonds, derivatives, and other asset classes
• Conduct testing and debugging of Murex configurations to ensure seamless operations
• Optimize workflows by identifying and implementing process improvements within Murex systems
• Provide end-user support and training to stakeholders around Murex processes and functionalities
• Work closely with global banking teams to meet project timelines and regulatory standards

Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of experience in Murex, with a focus on back-office operations and treasury accounting
• Knowledge of Murex configurations and workflows, including testing, troubleshooting, and validation
• Expertise in financial instruments such as bonds, derivatives, and other asset classes, with understanding of cash settlements, securities settlements, collateral, and cash management
• Background in reference data, static data, and accounting processes
• Familiarity with dynamic work environments and capacity to learn new technologies

Nice to have

• Background in Summit or other trading platforms
• Familiarity with automation tools for accounting or reconciliation
• Understanding of financial reporting standards such as IFRS or GAAP
• Exposure to regulatory reporting processes
• Experience in multinational or global banking environments
