Senior Software Engineer - Team Lead

Overview

Own execution and technical leadership for a small, fast-moving AI startup team. This is a hands-on role - you’ll code daily, review PRs fast, unblock engineers, and move the product forward every week.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a small engineering team (2 full-time + 2 part-time engineers)
• Review PRs quickly, maintain a high bar for code quality and velocity
• Continuously identify and solve engineering bottlenecks
• Build across the stack - React, Next.js on the front; Supabase/Postgres on the back
• Design and ship core AI systems: agent workflows, memory layers, caching, and data sync
• Own and improve infra, CI/CD, and developer workflows
• Make architecture decisions that balance speed with reliability
• Set engineering standards, code review habits, and dev processes from scratch

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Prior experience leading or managing 3–5 engineers
• Strong hands-on full-stack skills (React / Next.js / Typescript + Postgres/Supabase)
• Experience building AI-powered systems using LLMs, agents, or similar workflows
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and early-stage startup environments
• Willing to work in-person from Mumbai

Nice to have:

• Experience with vector databases, or edge functions
• Experience with AI Engineering, Memory Layer, Infra Layer
• Startup or 0→1 product experience
• Familiarity with tools like Vercel, Replit, Cursor, Lovable, V0
