About HST Global
The Helpful Smiles Technology Global Center (HST Global) in Bangalore is a division of the Hy-Vee IT team named as the Helpful Smiles Technology Centre based in the US. It supports Hy-Vee’s business growth and modernization needs by accelerating the adoption of technology across enterprise operations. It offers tech talent the unique opportunity to transform retail technology at Hy-Vee and understand different markets and cultural dynamics, as well as the opportunity to work locally and remotely on IT challenges. The Hy-Vee team is looking to expand its capabilities in Bangalore. HST Global will serve the entire IT organization across roles and functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday development and integration. Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and coach other engineers (Testing team), helping them develop their technical skills and knowledge.
- Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve Workday applications and integrations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive Test results, technical documentation, including design documents, code comments, and user manuals.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT teams, including QA, operations, and business analysts, to ensure the successful delivery of Workday projects.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire and motivate a team, build consensus, and drive results.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically about the future of Workday applications and develop plans to meet evolving business needs.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical information and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Workday applications and integrations.
- Teamwork Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with other US IT professionals.
Technical / Business Expertise
- Deep understanding of Workday development tools and technologies. Familiarity with programming languages used for Workday development.
- Proficiency in Workday like Workday Studio, EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), Orchestrations, Core Connectors, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Experience with XSLT, XML and data transformation.
- Strong understanding of HR, Absence and payroll processes within the Workday ecosystem.
- Strong experience in providing support for Workday inbound and outbound integration issues, changes to existing integrations and new integrations.
- Good experience to Design, Build, Test and Deploy Workday Integration using EIB, Core Connectors and Workday Studio.
- Strong experience in create complex calculated fields for reports
- Require Good collaboration with US Team for requirement gathering
- Provide solution and integration development with Workday including requirements, technical specs, design, custom development, integration testing, UAT and deployment
- Strong experience on creating Advance reports and Dashboards reports
- Strong experience to work on production issues
- Experience in create Boomerang Integrations
- Strong experience in performing routine fix support and regression testing of inbound/outbound interfaces to the system and middleware.
- Good Experience working on R1 and R2 regression testing
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with developing applications using Workday Extend.
- Addition Advantage with Workday Extend module - development of new applications and maintenance of existing solutions.
- Good to have QA test scenarios review and execution
- Create and maintain Workday reports and Integrations related to security to meet business needs. (ISU and ISSG)
- Good to have SSK studio knowledge
- Good to have workday certification
- Good to have workday community ID
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- 6 to 8 years of experience - with 4+ years in relevant workday Integration
- Proven track record of leading successful Workday projects
