We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer- Train IT Rolling Stock System

You’ll make a difference by:

• We are seeking an experienced Java Software Developer to join our Passenger Information System (PIS)development team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated real-timeinformation systems that enhance passenger experience across various transportation modes
• Develop and maintain robust Java-based applications for passenger information systems
• Upgrading and extending our existing Java 8 based system to the latest version
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards
• Provide technical documentation and maintain development
• Agile Project Management:
• Manage the project using Agile methodologies, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Track and prioritize project tasks, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to timelines.
• Adjust plans as necessary based on feedback and evolving project needs.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in:
• Java 11+
• Angular latest version
• Microservices architecture
• Version control systems (Git)
• Container technologies (Docker, Podman)
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• OSGI/ Karaf knowledge
• Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Java software development
• Experience with SIP Protocol and gstreamer and distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication skills in English Technical
• DesiredAdditionalSkills/Nicetohave:

• Desired Additional Skills / Nice to have:
• Experience with on-train passenger information systems and experience in railway operation.
• Knowledge of transport industry standards and regulations is plus.
• Knowledge of railML or GTFS
• Work Environment:
• Hybrid work model available after initial probation of 6 months.
• International project exposure
• Collaboration with global teams
• Travel may be required (10-20%) depending upon requirement.
