In Baker Hughes we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in C++, Linux Kernel, QT/QML, and OpenGL, along with strong domain knowledge in Ultrasonic Testing and Imaging. The ideal candidate shall have hands-on experience in developing and rendering A-scan, B-scan, and C-scan ultrasound data, and in building high-performance imaging algorithms for ultrasonic testing applications. This role also requires strong expertise in embedded device software development. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing software for real-time embedded systems. This role is pivotal in advancing our ultrasound software platform and delivering precise, real-time solutions.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing robust software solutions using C++, Linux Kernel, QT/QML, and OpenGL.
- Implementing and optimizing rendering pipelines for A-scan, B-scan, and C-scan ultrasound modalities.
- Developing and architect advanced algorithms for Ultrasound Imaging and Testing, ensuring high accuracy and performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including hardware, clinical, and UI/UX to deliver integrated imaging solutions.
- Leading technical design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure adherence to software engineering best practices.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex software issues across the imaging stack.
- Contributing to system-level design and integration of ultrasound imaging platforms.
- Supporting process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
- Working cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables
- Driving world-class quality in the development and support of products
- Engaging subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
- Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
- Writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
- Understanding performance parameters and assess application performance
- Working on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen
- Sharing information proactively across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness quality.
- Creating cost-effective automation strategies saving significant release time.
- Standardizing of coding and testing practices across global teams, reducing post-launch defects.
- Experiencing in non-functional testing, performance analysis, and scalability assessments.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
- Have a Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software development.
- Be Proficient in C++, Linux Kernel programming, QT/QML, and OpenGL.
- Be Proficient in programming and debugging for embedded devices.
- Have Strong knowledge of Ultrasound Imaging, including A-scan, B-scan, and C-scan techniques and their rendering.
- Have Proven experience in developing and optimizing Ultrasonic Testing algorithms.
- Have Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Have demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Have Good understanding of real-time graphics rendering and performance optimization.
- Have Experience with real-time embedded systems and medical device software.
- Have Prior experience in leading software development projects in the Ultrasound NDT domain.
