Senior Software Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and scalable backend systems. This role begins as a 1-month contract trial period where we evaluate technical skill, ownership, and team fit. Upon successful completion, the candidate will be offered a full-time position with competitive compensation and long-term growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java + Spring Boot.
• Develop secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Work closely with product, mobile, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Implement clean architecture practices, reusable components, and robust unit/integration tests.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and observability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Integrate third-party systems, payment gateways, and internal services as needed.
• Own features from design → development → deployment → monitoring.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, MVC, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Message Queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) is a plus.
• Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
• Strong debugging skills and experience with profiling, logging, and monitoring tools.
• Experience in secure coding practices and authentication frameworks (JWT/OAuth2).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with fintech/payments domain.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or container orchestration.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
• Contributions to open-source projects or strong GitHub presence.

Contract-to-Hire Details
