Senior Software Engineer at ZeroNorth

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Customer Data Team embedded in an extremely skilled and international Operations Engineering department which is responsible for all the customer data integrations, building data products and responsible for exposing the data to internal business areas as well as external customers.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop APIs for data integrations and ingestion to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Design and build applications that can map incoming data using large language models (LLMs) and transform it as per business requirements.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
• Conduct code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with an emphasis on object-oriented design and asynchronous programming.
• Contribute to the testing efforts by writing unit tests and performing integration testing to ensure software quality.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional software development experience using Python and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Proven experience in data engineering, preferably with Snowflake and DBT.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design, multi-threading, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and experience writing unit and integration tests.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of information security best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React/Next.js).
