As a Senior Software Engineer at PropertyGuru, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our business objectives and delight our users. Your expertise, commitment to best practices, and collaborative approach will drive the success of our projects and contribute to the overall improvement of our development processes.

As a Guru you will be accountable for:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications that meet requirement specifications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Code Quality and Best Practices: Perform thorough code reviews and unit testing to maintain code quality and adherence to best development practices.

• Technical Expertise: Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring the implementation of robust and scalable software solutions.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software development, bringing innovative ideas to the team.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.

We're looking for someone who:

• Extensive experience in software development with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects.

• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks, with a strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

• Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive technical excellence within the team.

Our tech stack centres around the JavaScript ecosystem, using Node.js and NestJS for the backend, React with JavaScript/TypeScript for the frontend, and Next.js for full-stack applications. We also work with GraphQL, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Tailwind, Chakra UI, Jest, Playwright, and Redis.
