
Overview
DevOps Engineer will be part of the Oracle CX Marketing DevOps team and will support internal hosted application environments. The ideal candidate comes with deep, technical CI/CD knowledge and scripting skills. Must be customer-centric, goal-oriented, self-directed and have the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with an unwavering dedication to operational excellence.He/She will plan and conduct activities concerned with ensuring the performance and reliability of our application. This includes development, automation and monitoring. This engineer will also participate in change management process and controls.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Understand developer workflows and help improve their experience through instrumentation, analysis, development, optimization, and work with maven, ant.
- Design, develop and deliver distributed engineering solutions and tools
- Lead project teams through all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Bring partners together across organizational and functional boundaries
- Work collaboratively in an Agile, CI/CD environment
Key Requirements include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5 to 9 Years of experience
- Experience with Java/Javascript and/or other enterprise languages.
- Experience on deploying containers with docker and container management tools like Kubernetes
- Expertise in scripting using Python,Shell with Unix/Linux
- Experience with maven, Ant, make scripts Expertise in CI tools like Jenkins with prior experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in working with distributed version control systems such as Git, Sub-version.
- Experience on infrastructure automation and management tools - Ansible, Chef, puppet is a plus.
- Knowledge about system administration, networking concepts and protocols, and programming skills would be added advantage.
