Senior Software Engineer

Overview

About the Role

This is a hands-on engineering position where you'll work across Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Flask) microservices, implement modern backend practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring a world-class product to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, scalable, and secure backend services for a greenfield B2B SaaS product.
• Modify and optimize existing backend components for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Flask).
• Integrate with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) as required.
• Implement messaging and streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka.
• Apply ORM tools like Hibernate and ensure database schema consistency and efficiency.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data transmission across services.
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker, working with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 4 – 8 years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot, along with Hibernate.
• Proficiency in Python, preferably with Flask for microservice development.
• Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and ORM tools
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
• Working knowledge of Docker for containerization and microservices deployment.
• Solid grasp of security best practices in backend systems (JWT, OAuth, RBAC).
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Git, and agile development practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in building B2B SaaS platforms or enterprise software.
• Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture and API versioning strategies.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging stacks (ELK, Prometheus/Grafana).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

• Performance bonus
