Senior Software Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Backend Developer(3-6 years of exp) to lead the design and development of backend services for our WhatsApp marketing automation platform. This is a high-impact role where you will work on a modern microservices-based architecture hosted on AWS, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. You’ll collaborate with product stakeholders, translate requirements into robust technical solutions, and own critical backend services like messaging, journey orchestration, Shopify integrations, and AI-driven automations.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into scalable backend architecture and services.
• Design, implement, and maintain microservices like messaging-service, journey-execution, analytics, Shopify API, and AI agent orchestration.
• Develop event-driven systems using AWS services like SQS, Lambda, Load Balancers, and Target Groups.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Node.js (MeteorJS experience is a plus).
• Ensure fault tolerance, low latency, and high availability in platform services.
• Use rapid prototyping and vibe-based coding techniques to accelerate delivery without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to ensure seamless feature delivery.
• Own end-to-end delivery of backend components, from development to deployment.
• Lead the team and mentor junior developers and contribute to system design best practices.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in backend development, preferably in SaaS or high-scale systems.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Solid experience with Node.js, REST APIs, and working in microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS ecosystem – especially SQS, Lambda, EC2, Load Balancers, Target Groups, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
• Ability to move fast and build high-quality systems using vibe-based development (structured yet speed-oriented coding practices).
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and task tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments.
