Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities (JD)
Key Responsibilities
- Environment Management: Provision and configure new D365 F&O environments (DEV, TEST, PROD) in an on- prem setup.
- Manage AOS, Batch, and other tier components.
- Monitor and maintain environment health and performance.
- Deploy software builds and updates through Lifecycle Services (LCS) into test and production environments.
- Coordinate with development and release teams to manage package promotion and environment refreshes.
- Handle hotfixes, platform updates, and ISV solutions deployment.
- Administer LCS project and asset library management.
- Maintain LCS topology for on-prem implementation.
- Coordinate with Microsoft support through LCS for issue resolution.
- Manage backup and restore operations for SQL databases and environment VMs.
- Implement and test DR strategies. Security & Compliance: Support D365 F&O security model, including user role management and license configuration.
- Maintain compliance with organizational IT security policies and controls.
- Proactively monitor system health using built- in telemetry and third-party tools.
- Diagnose and resolve environment issues, including performance bottlenecks and service failures.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a D365 F&O administrator.
- Proven experience in code and environment management via LCS.
- Hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure setup or good theoretical understanding of:
- SQL Server clustering AOS and Batch server deployment Certificate and network configurations Solid understanding of D365 F&O architecture (cloud and on-prem).
- Experience with PowerShell, Windows Server, and IIS.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server (SSMS, backup/restore, performance tuning).
- Ability to coordinate with developers, testers, and infrastructure teams.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines for D365 is a plus.
- Experience with upgrading from AX 2012 to D365 F&O.
- Exposure to Azure infrastructure and hybrid deployment models.
- Microsoft certifications in D365 F&O or related areas.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Total Exp: 5-8 years
- Rel Exp: 2+ years
