Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Engineer at GoGroup, you play a pivotal role in shaping the team's development goals, product strategy, and future team growth while driving a culture of quality and process adherence. The engineering team operates across diverse domains, tackling challenges like large-scale system design, distributed computing, real-time data processing, and user experience optimization. Your responsibilities include collaborating with founders, product managers, and developers to refine requirements and align priorities, contributing hands-on to backend development, managing devops aspects, and mentoring junior engineers. You will also focus on maintaining system accuracy, availability, and scalability while continuously identifying opportunities to refine architecture and implementation standards.

Responsibilities

• Work with the founders, product managers, and developers closely to understand and filter the requirements.
• Align the stakeholders on the priority of tasks.
• Contribute to the core product development by being hands-on.
• If needed, own portions of devops around the product.
• Maintain the applications for accuracy and high availability.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve system designs, architecture, and implementation standards.
• In all of the above, responsibly leverage AI to drive outcomes.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience in architecting and building products/business-critical backend applications using Node.js (Nest or Express).
• Experience with using AI augmented IDEs and tools(Copilot, Cursor, etc) for development, debugging, and deployment.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining web applications.
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure like AWS, Azure, etc.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and stress testing tools.
