What You Will Be Doing
We are building the digital backbone for electric vehicle charging network in North America and beyond—making it seamless, intelligent, and accessible. As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering intuitive, high-performance mobile experiences that empower EV drivers to locate chargers, start sessions, track usage, and manage their vehicles on the go.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Design and develop advanced Android features across the charging experience—station discovery, real-time session tracking, payments, and notifications
- Work with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and modern Android patterns (MVVM/MVI) to deliver maintainable and scalable code
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to turn user needs into elegant solutions
- Ensure code quality through automated tests, peer reviews, and continuous integration
- Optimize app performance, battery usage, and real-time responsiveness for EV workflows
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help break down complex features into modular components
- Investigate and resolve production issues quickly and effectively
- Stay updated with the latest Android trends and apply best practices to deliver a world-class app
Requirements
- 5+ years of Android development experience with strong proficiency in Kotlin
- Experience building and scaling production apps with Jetpack libraries (e.g., Compose, Navigation, WorkManager)
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations
- Experience working on location-based services, maps, or real-time data sync is a plus
- Comfortable with tools like Git, CI/CD systems, and performance profiling
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, product-first mindset
Bonus Points
- Experience in EV, mobility, IoT, or energy tech domains
- Knowledge of Bluetooth (BLE), RFID, or vehicle telematics
- Familiarity with analytics tools (Firebase, Amplitude, Segment)
- Exposure to modular app development or multi-module architecture
- Prior contributions to open-source Android libraries or technical blogs
