Overview
Key Objectives
Collaborate with the lead and team to modernize a legacy Classic ASP application by rewriting it into a scalable and maintainable ASP.NET solution.
Deliver high-quality, secure, and reusable code while ensuring businessfunctionality is preserved and enhanced.
Contribute to frontend and backend development, component modularization, and best practices in design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze Classic ASP and VBScript code to understand and refactor core business logic into modern C#.
Develop robust ASP.NET MVC applications using Razor views and Entity Framework.
Implement responsive, standards-compliant HTML/CSS interfaces and reusable UI components, leveraging or replacing KendoUI.
Apply OOP and SOLID principles in modular development for clean, scalable architecture.
Participate in design discussions and help establish code standards and practices across the development team.
Integrate secure authentication and authorization using ASP.NET Identity ortoken-based mechanisms.
Write efficient LINQ queries and SQL statements for optimized data operations.
Conduct unit testing, peer reviews, and support bug fixes and performance tuning.
Collaborate across offshore-onshore teams, QA, and DevOps to ensure smooth delivery and deployment.
Required Technical Skills
6–8 years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC, Razor, and C#.
Strong in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and building responsive, accessible UI with attention to design details.
Experience building modular and reusable UI components and integrating third-party UI libraries like KendoUI.
Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and clean code practices.
Exposure to design patterns (Repository, Factory, etc.) and dependency injection concepts.
Skilled in Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL Server for database-driven applications.
Experience implementing authentication/authorization using ASP.NET Identity or OAuth2/JWT.
Proficient with Git and GitHub workflows, including branching, merging, and code reviews.
Proficient in Agile Development, Story and Acceptance Criteria documentation, Story pointing, estimation and planning.
Proficient in coding Unit Test in C#.
Required Soft Skills
Strong analytical and debugging skills with an ability to reverse engineer legacy logic.
Effective communication and collaboration skills within distributed and cross- functional teams.
A self-starter attitude with ownership and initiative toward meeting deadlines.
Open to learning and contributing to architectural improvements and code quality.
