Senior Software Engineer, Corporate HR IT, Information Technology

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Development of components required for the rollout of HR functionality with integration to upstream & downstream systems.
• Liaise with other development teams to agree and document design of interrelated functions.
• Support development manager by providing reliable estimates for work assigned and alerting them of delays or issues as early as possible.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Contributing towards betterment of delivery e.g. peer reviews, unit testing etc.
• Ensure code is rigorously tested before deployment to QA.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of IT experience in Java software development.
• 2-3 years of experience as a DevOps (CI/CD) or Support Engineer.
• Strong Core Java skills and proficiency in the Spring framework.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, SQL (DML, DDL), messaging systems (JMS, MQ, Solace), and Hibernate.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux OS, scripting, and code management tools like GitHub or Perforce.
• Experience with Maven, Tomcat, web applications, and system integration using industry-standard APIs and web services.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
