Job Overview:

CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer with a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in big data technologies, ETL development, and data modeling, while also being comfortable working with DevOps and CI/CD workflows. Experience with mainframe systems and COBOL will be considered an added advantage.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions.
• Proven expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie).
• Strong experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD workflows (e.g., Git, Jenkins, BitBucket).
• Working knowledge data governance, quality management, and compliance practices.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools for data systems.
• Experience with mainframe technologies and COBOL is a plus.
