The Consumer Commerce Platform team is focused on the success of Microsoft Cloud customers and partners. Our analysis services and machine learning models answer key questions helping our customers and partners improve business models and services. Our team also provides key metrics about cloud adoption across Microsoft and inform internal business decisions. We do this with a team of people with diverse perspectives and backgrounds who continually identify points of engagement, measure outcomes, learn from our customers and partners, and improve business models and services. In this way we make data-driven insights actionable with changes to Microsoft Cloud products and services to make them easier to use, understand, and learn about. Our Developer team is looking for an Engineering Manager to join us in our journey to reimagine how game creators bring content to life—working together to transform the way developers onboard, publish, and receive support across our platforms. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate the creator journey by building intuitive tools, resilient services, and responsive support systems that empower creators—from indie studios to AAA publishers—to move faster, with greater confidence and less friction.

Responsibilities include:
- Forming, and leading a team of 6-8 engineers.
- Driving execution on project strategy, in collaboration with product management.
- Fostering a culture of excellence in execution by adhering to modern engineering principles and practices.
- Collaborating with leaders across geographic and organizational boundaries to make impactful changes.
- Lead the definition of requirements, key performance indicator (KPIs), priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.
- Coaching and mentoring team members.
- Actively shaping and driving a flexible, diverse, and inclusive culture that brings out the best in the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 7+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and common Design Patterns.
- Experience in DevOps to maintain live services and\or application frameworks.
- Analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design.
- Commitment to building highly scalable, highly reliable services.
- Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes.
- Collaborating with technical partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Ability to quickly ramp up on multiple technology areas.
- Confident and articulate in expressing ideas to a mixed audience with varying views and challenges.
- Cultural sensitivity and a proven ability to work with teams and partners across multiple geographies.
- A sense of personal ownership is required, together with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines while managing internal stakeholder expectations.
- Self-motivated and organized to deliver results.
