Senior Software QA Engineer

Summary

Location: Remote, Southern England, UK. Majority working from home, meetings in our Swindon office every few weeks.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance, particularly in commercial engineering software. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and usability of our products.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the QA efforts for the team developing our 2+ axis toolpath software components
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Perform manual and automated testing to identify and resolve software defects
• Continuously improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards are met
• Conduct performance and stress testing to ensure software stability
• Mentor other QA engineers and provide guidance on best practices

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software QA, with a focus on engineering applications
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of QA processes in an agile software development environment
  • Experience with performance and stress testing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
