Senior SQL Developer - Coimbatore

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing and optimizing complex T-SQL scripts and managing SQL Server environments. You will collaborate closely with application developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure high-performance and secure database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Optimize and refactor existing database queries and procedures for better performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with application developers to design and implement effective backend database solutions.
• Participate in data modeling, schema design, and database architecture discussions.
• Monitor and maintain SQL Server instances (both on-premises and/or cloud-based).
• Perform backup & restore operations, manage log shipping, and support disaster recovery planning.
• Configure and monitor SQL Server Agent Jobs, set up alerts, and implement maintenance plans.
• Conduct capacity planning, index management, and storage optimization.
• Ensure database security, manage user roles and permissions, and implement auditing.
• Follow and enforce best practices, security standards, and compliance guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server (2016 or higher preferred).
• Solid understanding of query optimization and performance tuning techniques.
• Experience with database monitoring tools, maintenance, and high availability solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud-based SQL environments (e.g., Azure SQL) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
