Job Description: Senior SQL Developer

Role Summary

Responsible for database design, development, optimization, and data modeling activities. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance database solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement database schemas based on project and application requirements.
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions to support application functionality.
• Create and maintain logical and physical data models representing database structures and relationships.
• Optimize SQL queries and enhance database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective database and data model designs.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions to finalize data modeling solutions and architecture decisions.
• Plan and execute data migration processes during system upgrades or database transitions.
• Contribute across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design, development, unit testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to implement scalable software solutions.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database and application-related issues.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality benchmarks.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and database best practices.
• Manage and execute daily activities of team members to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
  
  

• Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling (logical and physical), and SQL performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of database design principles, indexing strategies, and performance tuning techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in database development and management.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
