Our Information Technology (IT) team leads all aspects of IT systems and processes across the enterprise, including data services, security, compliance, applications, automation, and end-user services. Through innovative and streamlined technology solutions, this dynamic team enables company growth, protects data, and serves as a critical partner to all departments of PowerSchool.

The Senior System Administrator, NetSuite will support the ongoing maintenance and customization of PowerSchool’s instance of NetSuite to ensure the continued delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions that enable PowerSchool to accomplish its company and financial business objectives. This role will work cross-functionally with a variety of PowerSchool departments to maximize the value NetSuite provides to PowerSchool. This includes managing the day-to-day incoming requests from business users, understanding requirements and determining complexity, defining solution functionality, designing solutions, developing and maintaining solutions over time. The Senior System Administrator - NetSuite will be hands-on and be involved in the support of managing NetSuite in a diverse working environment. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.

The Enterprise Applications team is responsible for establishing and configuring enterprise software applications, providing training to IT staff and employees, supporting users, and troubleshooting issues.

Your day-to-day job will consist of:

• Customization of PowerSchool’s NetSuite instance using SuiteScript in support of key business initiatives inclusive of maintaining and creating new scripts
• Support integration of NetSuite with other platforms, including Salesforce.com
• Analyze business needs and facilitate design, review & training sessions with technical and business stakeholders
• Prepare and deliver saved searches, reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating NetSuite across the organization
• Manage system enhancement projects in accordance with established SDLC and agile methodologies
• Create systems documentation including, business requirements documents, functional designs, user manuals, test scripts, test plans and training materials
• Work collaboratively across teams and/or independently to design and build solutions on the NetSuite, SuiteScript, and SuiteBuilder platform using progressively complex capabilities
• Administration of new enhancements: creation of custom functions, processes, forms, reports, workflows
• Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
• Manage security, users, roles, profiles, groups, queues and other NetSuite setup options as necessary
• Serve as a subject matter expert on items related to NetSuite and SuiteApps
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
• Identify opportunities for automation to increase quality and speed of processes.
• Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and work on projects in parallel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field preferred
• 4+ years of experience as a NetSuite Developer or NetSuite Administrator required
• NetSuite SuiteFoundation, Administrator and SuiteCloud Developer Certifications desired
• Track record of multiple successful NetSuite and similar ERP full-lifecycle implementation
• Hands on knowledge and proven competency coding in SuiteScript
• Deep knowledge of NetSuite functionality, and the coding that brings about this functionality
• Highly skilled at coding in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with revenue-based functionality such as Advanced Revenue Management and Fixed Asset Management
• Experience working with the Electronic Bank Payments SuiteApp
• Knowledge of the NetSuite Dunning module
• Experienced in SuiteAnalytics and SuiteAnalytics Connect
• Hands on knowledge of Salesforce, Coupa, Boomi a plus
• Has a professional image and builds strong relationships across functions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills while maintaining objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under stressful conditions
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and explain complex concepts across functions and levels of the organization
• Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues using judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
• Ability to conduct research into NetSuite issues and related products as required
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Highly self-motivated and directed and work well as with a team while learning software capabilities hands-on and willingness to be self-driven in ongoing skills development
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to research and analyze information from a variety of sources to determine best go forward path
• Familiarity with integrated application platforms and the impact of data quality on the successful transformation of information between systems
