About the role:

The Sr Test Engineer in Test Automation will create and execute test scripts and do enhancement on the automation framework for functionality, regression, performance and stress testing in an agile environment. The candidate should have strong analytical abilities, coding skills, excellent teamwork and great communication skills. This role will also support junior team members on test script creation, test case creation and automation.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain effective test automation solutions which meet requirements and specifications. (Smoke, Functional, Regression, Performance, etc.)
  • Analyze functional requirements and design, test cases documents, and plan for automation.
  • Schedule automation test run, defect (bug) tracking, reporting, and issue resolution/coordination
  • Ensure good stability in automated test code/script and maintain it up to date
  • Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal test script reviews
  • Automate and execute test cases using testing tools, scripting tools and development tools
  • Execute automated/manual scripts using automated tools during smoke, system, regression, acceptance
  • Contributes to test plans under the guidance of more senior staff.
  • Responsible for publishing product quality metrics, trends and measuring improvements and other reporting, reducing production issues
  • Keep monitoring, providing test and automation status and raising issues and potential risks to Test Lead/Manager.

What you’ll need:

Strong IT professional with 4-5 years of experience in both automation testing frameworks and manual testing. The candidate should have strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills along with high on ownership and accountability.

Must have

  • 4-5 years hands-on experience testing different applications for both automated and manual tests.
  • 3+ years of experience in automating web applications across platforms using test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber and JUnit/NUnit etc.
  • Strong experience and coding skills in Selenium with Java, OOPS Concept
  • Possesses the ability to develop test scripts and scenarios
  • Experienced with following Testing and CI tools (Eclipse, Jenkins, Groovy, Java, Selenium, GIT, GitHub/Bitbucket)
  • Exposure to web technologies (HTTP, XML, REST, HTML, etc)
  • Proficiency integrating test suite with tools in the DevOps/CICD pipelines
  • Good Knowledge of Test management tools JIRA, AIO etc.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
