Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong technical and domain expertise in telecom billing systems, specifically Samson / Ensemble Billing platform, Tuxedo services, and the CSM (Customer Service Management) user interface. This role supports automation, defect triage, and quality engineering across the Samson postpaid billing ecosystem, ensuring stability, accuracy, and SLA compliance across backend and UI integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated testing frameworks primarily using TOSCA (UI, API, and Vision AI Agent).
• Develop and execute end-to-end automation pipelines integrating TOSCA, qTest, Jenkins, and reporting dashboards.
• Conduct in-depth API testing and automation, validating data integrity and service behavior across Samson and Tuxedo layers.
• Support defect triage and root cause analysis using analytical and AI/ML-based methods to drive faster resolution.
• Ensure test coverage alignment with requirements and defect trends using Jira and qTest as systems of record.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams to validate builds, monitor test execution, and ensure release readiness.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise with Samson / Ensemble Billing platform, including core billing workflows, data models, and job orchestration.
• Experience with Tuxedo-based service testing and backend troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with TOSCA automation: UI automation using TOSCA modules and Vision AI Agent; API automation for REST and SOAP services; Integration of TOSCA → qTest → Jenkins → Reporting workflows.
• Strong API testing and validation skills using Postman, REST Assured, or TOSCA API modules.
• Solid SQL skills for backend data validation across billing and transactional systems.
• Proficiency with Jira and qTest for defect lifecycle management, traceability, and reporting.
• Experience using Splunk to identify patterns, anomalies, and error messages in logs to accelerate debugging and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) for automated test execution and reporting.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-driven defect analysis and root cause prediction tools is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Unix commands, job monitoring, and log analysis in backend environments.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Selenium with Java – optional but beneficial.
• Experience with Samson/telecom billing systems.
• Familiarity with microservices, API gateways, or middleware testing.
• Exposure to performance testing (e.g., JMeter) and test data management strategies.

Domain Knowledge

• Deep understanding of telecom billing, rating, invoicing, and customer management workflows.
• Awareness of Samson CSM as a user interface component interacting with backend billing engines.
• Proven ability to work in complex, integrated telecom environments with multiple service dependencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6–10 years of QA/SDET experience, including telecom billing projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
