Job Description
Senior UI Developer — Angular | Nx Monorepo | Bootstrap | Storybook | Playwright
We’re looking for a Senior UI Developer with deep expertise in Angular and front-end architecture to help shape the design system and reusable component library that powers the Assent platform. You’ll collaborate closely with product designers and engineers across teams to deliver scalable, accessible, and well-tested UI components.
You’ll be working in a high-trust CI/CD environment—every commit goes to production, and there’s no separate QA team. That means your code must be testable, reliable, and production-ready. You'll take full ownership of component quality, using Playwright for end-to-end tests and Storybook for development and documentation.
Our front-end tech stack includes:
- Angular 18 in an Nx monorepo
- Bootstrap integrated with our custom Meridian design system
- Storybook for interactive documentation and dev collaboration
- Playwright for automated end-to-end testing
We value maintainability, performance, and thoughtful design that improves developer velocity and customer experience alike.
We work with the latest technology and plan to keep doing so. Our team uses tools like GitHub Copilot to help with AI-powered coding, Figma and FigJam for design, and we’re always open to trying new tools that can help us create better experiences for our customers.
This is more than a chance to write great code. It’s your opportunity to build the user interface of a global platform that helps companies lead with purpose—while working with a team that empowers you to deliver with autonomy, confidence, and impact.
You’ll serve as a leader in our UI community of practice, helping to shape the way Assent builds beautiful, efficient, and maintainable front-end code. You will:
- Translate functional business requirements and technical specifications into reliable and maintainable software
- Drive greenfield initiatives, and influence product direction while mentoring junior engineers across cross-functional teams to shape technical strategy
- Own “outside the frame” development including theming, navigation, menus.
- Develop core services to support authorization, authentication, feature flagging, etc.
- Write tests that prove the quality of your code in a CI/CD environment where every commit goes to production.
- Collaborate with product designers on the implementation of our Meridian Design System.
- Champion accessibility, performance, and scalability in all your front-end work
- Mentor fellow developers and uphold high-quality standards in peer reviews
- Support secure coding practices in line with Assent’s security guidelines
Qualifications
We strongly value your talent, energy and passion. It will also be valuable to Assent if you have the following qualifications,
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with mastery of Angular(12+) and knowledge of C#
- Proficiency in modern front-end build systems, libraries, and testing practices
- Experience in implementing and designing microservices, micro-frontend and reusable frontend components
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, consumption, and integration across frontend services
- A user-centric mindset with an eye for detail and intuitive UX
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a component library or design system
- Ability to think holistically—balancing business needs, technical debt, and architectural vision
- Proficiency in RxJS for reactive programming patterns.
- Experience working with Git monorepos and related tooling (e.g., Nx).
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, and TypeScript.
- Understanding of OOPS concepts using TypeScript.
- Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across functions
- Curiosity, craftsmanship, and a drive to stay current with front-end innovation
