- Location: Chennai
- Experience: 4 to 5 years
Role & responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize applications using Magik within the Smallworld platform to meet business and operational requirements.
- Lead and execute upgrades from Smallworld 4.x to 5.x, ensuring system stability, compatibility, and data integrity during migration.
- Work across the full Smallworld architecture to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance implementations.
- Configure and deploy Smallworld solutions in Kubernetes-based environments to enable modern, containerized operations.
- Integrate and manage spatial data workflows using FME for seamless data transformation and interoperability.
- Set up, configure, and manage Smallworld web applications to support browser-based access and usability.
- Perform product customization and enhancements aligned with evolving business needs.
- Work with Oracle databases for schema design, optimization, and maintaining data accuracy and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end delivery, including testing, deployment, and ongoing support
Candidate requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with programming expertise in Magik for developing and customizing applications within the Smallworld environment.
- In-depth understanding of Smallworld architecture and deployment models, ensuring robust and scalable implementations.
- Proven experience in migrating systems from Smallworld 4.x to 5.x, including upgrade planning and execution.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes-based environments for modern, containerized delivery.
- Practical experience with FME to support spatial data integration, transformation, and workflow management.
- Solid knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance optimization, including schema design and data integrity management.
