Automation QA Engineer – Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automation QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, API testing, and Agile methodologies. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing strategies and continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and maintain test documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python, and test automation frameworks.
• Experience with API testing tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Experience in testing cloud-based applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹263,201.30 - ₹1,253,639.40 per year
