Software Developer- Java and Springboot

Overview

In this crucial role, you'll help lay the brickwork for our clients' solutions, closely involving yourself with various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will be responsible for the detailed design of applications, technical architecture components, and classes. In addition to this, your duties will also include coding software components and supporting pre-sales, delivery, and testing phases at both the component and system level. What you will do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Spring Boot and WebFlux.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with a strong emphasis on unit and integration testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions for media and streaming workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Document configurations and system behavior using annotation processors where applicable.
• On-call duty as 3rd Level Support
• Support service delivery stakeholders such as CSM/SDM when clarifications/urgent fixes are needed
• Requirement gathering (customer facing) and solution design proposals
• Customer ramp-up
• Knowledge sharing with rest of the team on product deliverables, coaching for newer team members
  
  

• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring WebFlux.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Solid understanding of reactive programming principles.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  
  

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Test containers, or similar.
• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  
  

• Experience with Gradle for build automation.
• Use of annotation processors for configuration documentation.
• Familiarity with ElasticSearch for search and analytics.
• Experience with feign-reactive for reactive HTTP clients.
• Understanding of streaming technologies (e.g., FFmpeg, HLS, DASH) is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Media Domain
• Previous experience in customer facing roles

• 6 -14 Years relevant experience in IT Industry
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/information technology or equivalent
