Description: Software Developer for Control Systems

As a Software Developer, you will be engaged in a dynamic Agile environment throughout the entire product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include

• Software engineering, involving feature breakdown, task specification, programming, testing, documentation, source code management, deployment, and issue tracking.

• Web-based HMI development using our design language.

• Collaborating closely with our UX designers to enhance user experiences.

• Establishing global automation standards for the platforms we use through cross-site collaboration.

• Working in Sprints as a part of a self-organizing team, contributing to the evolution of our products.

• Maintain previous released software.

Who You Are

We are looking for a passionate Software Developer who thrives in a dynamic workspace where teamwork and knowledge sharing are essential. To excel in this role, you should have:

• A university degree, preferably a Master's (MSc, MEng, MTech) or Bachelor's (BSc, BEng, BTech) from anyone of the following field: Mechatronics / Control & Automation / Embedded Systems / Industrial Automation / Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control / Embedded Systems / Computer Science or any related field.

• More than 2 years of work experience in software development and standardizations.

• Prior experience in PLC programming using text-based languages such as Structured Text, C, C++, and/or experience with embedded systems will be added advantage.

• Well versed with PLC programming language Ladder diagram.

• Experience in Siemens PLC platform

• Proficiency with TIA Portal.

• Experience in industrial communication protocols such as ProfNet, EtherNet/IP, Ethernet Powerlink, EtherCAT, Modbus, Profibus and OPC-UA.

• Proficiency with configuring and programming VFDs.

• Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.

• Familiarity with Software Development Models & Methods, such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), S88, and PackML.

• A customer-focused mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
