The Oracle Health and Sciences Business Unit (HSGBU) is the leading provider of integrated data collection and data management solutions for clinical trials and drug safety. As a member of the HSGBU development organization, you will contribute to a mission-critical platform that enables our customers to develop solutions that address worldwide healthcare problems in therapeutic areas such as vaccines and oncology with unmatched performance, scale, and reliability.
A successful candidate will be a strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions and disciplines. The candidate should be self-directed and have deep experience and knowledge of software design, coding, and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5+ years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities
- Design & develop efficient database code (SQL, PLSQL) for customer-facing cloud-native application.
- Help create and review system and software requirements.
- Help foster good software engineering practices.
- Follow relevant company procedures and help create and maintain relevant documentation.
- Actively participate in all aspects of the software engineering process.
- Prepare test cases to perform verification and validation of software.
- Should be able to adapt to new technologies.
- Should be able to provide product support post implementation.
- Minimum 5 Years of strong Oracle database development experience
- Extensive hands-on experience in SQL & PLSQL(Packages, Triggers, procedures, functions etc)
- Good understanding of RDBMS concepts is a must
- Good working knowledge on SQL tuning, PL/SQL tuning / Application tuning using various tools like TKPROF, EXPLAIN PLAN etc.
- Experience with Agile Methodologies
- Well versed with other Oracle tools like SQL Developer (or) Toad
- Shell/Python scripting knowledge will be an added advantage
