Software Developer – Video Management Systems (VMS) & AI Video Analytics

About the job:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain software components for Video Management Systems (VMS)
2. Integrate CCTV cameras, NVRs/DVRs, encoders, and third-party VMS platforms
3. Work with video streaming protocols such as RTSP, RTP, ONVIF, and HTTP
4. Support CCTV system deployment, configuration, and on-site integration
5. Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate video analytics, computer vision, and AI models
6. Develop APIs and backend services for video ingestion, processing, and analytics
7. Troubleshoot system-level issues related to cameras, networks, storage, and software
8. Assist in pilot deployments, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and client demonstrations
9. Provide technical support during installation and post-deployment phases

Other Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of experience working with:

1. Video Management Systems (VMS)

2. CCTV-based projects (supply, installation, integration, commissioning)

Strong understanding of:

1. IP cameras and NVR/DVR systems

2. ONVIF standards and camera integrations

3. Video codecs such as H.264 and H.265

Programming experience in:

1. Python / Java / C++ / Node.js (any relevant backend language)

Additional Technical Experience:

1. Experience with video streaming and processing pipelines

2. Hands-on experience with REST APIs and backend services

3. Basic understanding of AI, Computer Vision, and Video Analytics concepts

4. Familiarity with Linux environments and networking fundamentals
