Software DevOps Engineer

About the job:

Key responsibilities:

1. Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment of the web application
2. Implement Infrastructure as Code for consistent and scalable infrastructure provisioning
3. Automate routine tasks and optimize performance across development and production environments
4. Collaborate with developers to ensure best practices in version control, testing, and deployment
5. Maintain and improve containerization and orchestration environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
6. Monitor infrastructure and application health; set up alerting and log aggregation systems
7. Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and runtime issues in development and production
8. Ensure system security, compliance, and data protection in all environments
9. Support staging and production releases; participate in on-call rotations if required
10. Document DevOps workflows, procedures, and best practices for cross-team visibility

Other Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

2. 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or relevant software engineering roles

3. Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)

4. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation

5. Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)

6. Familiarity with web application stacks (Node.js, Python, etc.)

7. Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Go)

8. Deep understanding of cloud providers (AWS)

9. Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)

10. Knowledge of secure deployment practices and basic networking

11. Excellent communication and documentation skills
