ERPNext has had an outstanding real-world impact - from farmers to stock brokers and from small businesses using it for free to giant enterprises unitifying all of their operations, over 30,000+ companies rely on ERPNext to operate their business every day.
ERPNext is a suite of business software that lets companies manage accounting, procurement, sales, stock, manufacturing, and other operations. We are looking to hire engineers in the ERPNext team who will co-own ERPNext modules and take them to the next level.
- Open source: All of your code will be open source. You will get to work with a large community of users and developers to build the best business software out there.
- You'll have extreme ownership of ERPNext modules. That means owning the code, new feature development, marketing your work, fixing the code, optimizing it, documenting it, and everything else that is required to build excellent software.
- You don't have to do it all alone. We have a support system in terms of product managers, engineering managers, marketers, designers, sales and support teams to help you achieve your goals.

Even though the title of this role says "Engineer", this role requires both technical and functional skills to excel.
- Technical Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented programming in Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or equivalent language.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and schema modeling.
- Building and improving user experiences.
- A degree in computer science is NOT required. We are specifically looking for people with diverse backgrounds.

- Prior experience writing business software OR
- A degree in mechanical, civil, production, or industrial engineering OR
- A degree in accounting, business, supply chain, finance, HR, economics OR
- Equivalent experience or exposure. If you are not sure, apply anyway.
- Tech stack: Python, JavaScript, Vue, SQL (MariaDB), Frappe Framework.
- Employment: Full-time
- Location: Remote (India). We prefer candidates based in Mumbai who can visit the office at least once a week.
- Salary Range: 12 LPA (Freshers). 15-25 LPA (1-4 YoE, negotiable)
